In the third quarter of 2022, Kenya's top tools apps presented interesting trends in downloads and active user metrics. Here is a closer look at the performance of the leading apps in this category, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Xender - Share Music Transfer experienced fluctuating weekly downloads, peaking at about 64K in the week of September 19. Weekly active users for this app showed a relatively stable trend, hovering around 380K to 400K throughout the quarter.

Space Cleaner saw a significant rise in weekly downloads, starting from just 37 in the week of August 22 and reaching a peak of approximately 181K in the week of September 19. The app's weekly active users also exhibited a remarkable increase, growing from 108 in late August to about 147K by the end of September.

QRScanner - Super QR Code Tool had a notable peak in downloads around late July, with 51K downloads. The app maintained a consistent number of weekly active users, starting at 29K in late June and reaching a high of nearly 169K by mid-September.

Status Saver - Video Status demonstrated varying download trends, peaking at 65K in the week of August 22. However, the app saw a decline towards the end of the quarter, dropping to about 10K downloads by the last week of September. Active users followed a similar pattern, starting strong at 57K in early July and decreasing to around 30K by the end of September.

LottoNow – Kenya Lottery Resul maintained a steady rise in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 27K in the final week of September. Active users for LottoNow also showed consistent growth, starting at 64K in late June and reaching around 95K by the end of September.
